Here are the descriptions for each position. 

President (4-5 hrs./month)
Shall preside at all meetings of the Organization and the Executive Board; have overall management responsibility of the Organization.

Treasurer (4-5 hrs./month)
Responsible for all monetary records of the organization and keeping an accurate and detailed account of all monies received and disbursed and pay all bills approved and present financial reports at all meetings

Secretary (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall serve as keeper of the Executive Board minutes and the minutes of the General Meetings; be responsible for typing and distributing the minutes of the meetings

 

VP of Programs (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall act as an aid to the President, and in addition to such duties shall oversee and organize the general management of all student and parent program areas, which includes program development, delivery, and evaluation, as well as external relationship management for speakers and presenters (examples of past programs responsibilities include coordinating former student panel for current member q&a, supporting IBSSA events, supporting college fair visit)

 

VP of Membership and Volunteers (4-5 hrs./month)
Shall oversee and organize efforts to increase membership and retention of members and adult volunteers; solicit volunteers and fill volunteer needs as requested by the Executive Board/committees; develop a collaborative working relationship with the other officers and committee members; ensure that membership campaigns and support systems are integrated with program development; be responsible for maintaining a current membership list and volunteer list; be responsible for verifying each volunteer's PISD volunteer application status (the primary annual membership event is the back-to-school, so the bulk of this work happens in the summer preceding the school year. Membership also chairs the Gold Membership breakfast in the fall and coordinates the IB scholarships at graduation and supports the stole ceremony in the Spring) 

 

VP of Communications (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall be responsible for maintaining the Organization's Internet presence and website, disseminating information to the membership, and performing other such duties applicable to the office as prescribed by the parliamentary authority adopted by the Organization (this officer’s tasks runs year-round, beginning in the summer preceding the school year)

 

VP of Fundraising (3-4 hrs./month) shall develop, initiate, communicate and direct fundraising activities; be responsible for communicating or directing others to communicate to the Executive Board any new fundraising opportunities; research or oversee or direct others in researching additional fundraising activities; and review, report on, and recommend other potential fundraising opportunities (for example previous years have included “dining for dollars” events)

 

VP of Socials (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall oversee and organize social events for the IB and IH students, faculty, and parents.(previous years have included de-stress events, tailgate party, supporting IBSSA meetings and Banquet)and coordinating stole ceremony food & decorations

 

Practice Test Chairperson (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall plan and facilitate two testing days, one in the Fall and one in the Spring

 

Spirit Wear Chairperson (3-4 hrs./month)
shall organize sales and distribution of spirit wear and facilitate the design contest for students to submit their ideas for spirit wear. (the bulk of the time commitment for this position is in the summer preceding the school year--when spirit wear designs are ordered—and in person at the back-to-school event, with ongoing sales throughout school year and coordinating design contest in the spring)

 

Spirit Nights Chairperson (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall organize spirit nights throughout the school year. 

 

Hospitality / Teacher Appreciation (3-4 hrs./month)
Shall organize hospitality events throughout the school year, including chairing teacher appreciation events and gifts, working with school staff and PTSA as part of teacher appreciation week, and maintaining list of teacher likes/birthdays on website, n, stole ceremony, Gold Membership breakfast, etc.(Membership Breakfast and 

 

Parliamentarian (3-4 hrs./month)
Advise the presiding officers, Executive Board, and Organization on questions of parliamentary procedure according to Robert's Rules when asked
