IB WORLD SCHOOL BOOSTER NEWS

The IB Booster Club is excited for the 2024-2025 school year!
We have much in store to support our students and school but need your membership support to do it. 
 
 
With your membership dues, we are able to offer student and parent programs, scholarships, special events, SAT/ ACT practice tests (one per semester free for BC members - REGISTRATION REQUIRED), teacher & staff appreciation, school celebrations & donations, spirit wear, BC members’ online directory and more!

Spring 2025 SAT/ACT/PSAT Test and college preparation for all students

ACT Practice Test | Sat, 3.22.25 | 9:00 am  Registration deadline| Tues, 3.18.25

PSAT Package SAT  Practice Test | Sat, 4.12.25 | 9:00 am Registration deadline | Tues, 4.8.25

SAT Package PSAT Practice Test | Sat, 2.22.25 | 9:00 am Registration deadline | Tues, 2.18.25

**If a student can’t take the practice test on the specified date, the test will remain active in the student’s portal for 4 months**. 

Cost:

IB Booster Club member – 1 FREE package per semester (includes one practice test & two presentations); other additional test for same student cost $10 per test type

 

Non-Booster Club member - $10 per test type (includes one practice test & two presentations);

 

 

Strategy Sessions Included with Registration: 

Session #1:

How Optional Is Test Optional? Tues., 4.8.25| 6:30pm *Automatically registered when you register for a practice test(s)* This session will help students define test-optional admissions, learn how schools consider test scores, and what a test-optional application process is like for students.

 

Session #2

Crafting Your Academic Essays Wed, 5.7.25| 6:30pm *Automatically registered when you register for a practice test(s)* This session will share advice & tips on writing strong academic essays for high school & your college applications.

September 29 -- IB Ice Cream Picnic (3:30-5:30 pm)

October 1 -- IB Booster Breakfast (8-9 am)

December 13 -- Finals Week Stress Relief Event (4:45-6:00 pm)

January 6, 7:00 pm -- General Meeting & Virtual Student Graduate Panel

March 6 -- Panther Pride Game (make posters, pizza, game)

April 3 -- Texas IB Schools (TIBS) College Fair ($10 - register)

April 9, 7:00 pm -- General Meeting (Election of Officers, followed by IB Diploma presentation)
